Moving to Gilpin Township?

You'll need to know the following!

Water & Sewer Service

Water and Sewer services are handled by the Gilpin Township Municipal Authority. When you move to the Township, you will need to contact the Authority to have water/sewer billing moved into your name or to inquire on any dye/perc tests for property closing. Garbage/Waste Disposal Service

Under Ordinance 4-94, Gilpin Township REQUIRES each residential property to secure Waste disposal services. The Township does not contract with any company, leaving it up to the resident to seek these services. The following companies provide service to Gilpin Township residents:

Shank Waste Service
​​Waste Management

Electric Provider

West Penn Power is the primary energy provider in Gilpin Township. Please contact them to start or transfer service.

Gas Provider

Where available, Residential Gas Service is provided by Peoples Natural Gas. To start or transfer service, contact them. Where it is not available, the resposibility is on the property owner to secure any needed fuel elsewhere via propane, heating oil, etc.
